Details: Sometimes its the ordinary places right next door that turn into something magical if you’re there at the right time. In this case, the little gazebo on the pond at Fox Run Park in northern Colorado Springs provided the perfect setting to shoot this beautiful spring sunset.

Clouds bring a fresh coat of snow and shadows to the Buffalo Peaks of central Colorado.
Details: lighting is what makes or breaks a photograph. In this case, the dark but scattered clouds, bright fresh snow and evening sun combined for the perfect lighting to capture the dramatic heights of the Buffalo Peaks Wilderness in the background and the gently rolling ranch lands and pinion forests of the foreground.

A peaceful evening in late Spring as reflected in at beaver pond along the South Arkansas River in central Colorado.
Details: I love a good reflection, and the South Arkansas River near Salida, Colorado has several beaver ponds which calm the waters and lead to scenes like this. This shot was taken just before the sun went behind the mountains. This image actually a composite of five vertical shots to get more of the scene and the brilliant blue sky.
