The last rays of the setting sun bathe the needles of a twisted ponderosa pine in gold.
Details: this twisted tree is not far from my home in Colorado. I don’t know its history or why it’s twisted and still living, but on the longest days of summer, the sun sets perfectly between its limbs. What I love is how for a few minutes each night the sun catches the underside of the needles and completely changes the look of the scene.
